Då kör vi igång med en "vanlig" tvåveckorslista igen. Nästan bara amerikanskt
denna gång. Så kan det slumpa sig. Men det är väldigt många kvinnliga artister
denna gång i alla fall.

1 Echo & The Bunnymen (UK) Iconic ’80s post-punk outfit Echo & The Bunnymen are gearing up to release their first new album in four years, following 2014’s Meteorites. The Stars, The Oceans The forthcoming album will also include two new tracks, “How Far?”and “The Somnambulist.” “The Somnambulist” talks about an out-of-body experience and makes sense of foreign feeling. Stereogum

2 Japanese Breakfast (US) Inspired by the cosmos, Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner addresses life on Earth. Her voice shines over melancholic arrangements, evoking Pacific Northwest indie rock as much as shoegaze. Pitchfork

3 Low (US) Minnesota slowcore legends Low has announced their upcoming album Double Negative, Today, Low have shared another new song, and it marries that experimental streak with their minimal, focused songcraft. “Disarray,” the album’s closing track, builds a thumping rhythm out of a strobing distorted synth pattern and Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker’s twin vocals. “Before it falls into total disarray/ You’ll have to learn to live a different way,” they sing, eventually falling into a chorus of gorgeous wordless vocals. Stereogum

6 Alice in Chains (US) Rainier Fog^{[pronunciation?]} is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Alice in Chains, released on August 24, 2018, through BMG, the band's first release on the label.^[1] The title was inspired by Mount Rainier, a volcano that overlooks the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area, and the title track is a tribute to the Seattle music scene.^[8] This is the band's third album with William DuVall as lead vocalist sharing vocals duties with Jerry Cantrell, and the first Alice in Chains album in 22 years to be recorded in their hometown of Seattle.  Wikipedia

7  Bel Adore (SWE) Tack för tipset, Henrik. Jag har inte lyckats finna någon info om Bel Adore. Jag antar att artisten/bandet är från USA.  Bel adore är svenskt( Malmö) Vad jag förstår ett soloprojekt med en kille som heter Andy ( Andreas) som tidigare gett ut några skivor med present tense ( 90 - 00-tal). Som också är väl rätt okända utanför vissa musikerkretsar i Malmö. Däremot är influenserna tveklöst amerikanska. Jag såg honom med band på en privat fest för två år sedan, härom veckan fick jag kännedom om det här släppet. Henrik

8 Dorothy (US) is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2014. The band consists of vocalist Dorothy Martin, drummer Jason Ganberg, guitarists Owen Barry and Eli Wulfmeier, and bassist Eliot Lorango. 9 Laura Veirs (US) In 2016, Laura Veirs popped up as a central player on case/lang/veirs, the self-titled debut of the supergroup she shares with k.d. lang and Neko Case, two of the most distinctive and formidable voices in music. Veirs not only held her own — which would have been a feat in and of itself, given the company she was keeping — but also made her warmly empathetic presence stand out. Her 10th solo album, The Lookout is a sort of concept album about the precariousness of existence. The Lookout's quietly effervescent first single, "Everybody Needs You," nicely encapsulates Veirs' sound: The song billows on a breeze, with a bright and expansive arrangement that echoes, purrs and flutters invitingly. 10 June Divided (US) The song is immediately full of soul. I can’t imagine anybody not getting goosebumps the first time they hear Melissa Menago’s powerhouse vocals crooning the opening lyrics of “I could wait until I’m dead/For my heart to catch up to my head/Maybe I could use some help/Cause I lost a war against myself.” And it only gets better from there. As the track progresses, the drums get more thunderous and the guitars more spacious, giving Menago’s vocals room to run when she pushes them to the full extent of their uproarious power.
