Detta är sista vanliga omgången innan Delfinal 1. Här är de tio låtarna. Några har varit med tidigare, Tame Impala, Gold Connections och R. Stevie Moore, som har gjort runt 500 album !! och kanske gjort sitt bästa nu när han är gammal och sjuk. Sen har vi dessutom rutinerade Poplistebandet The Proper Ornaments, som ju vann hela listan 2013. Edwyn Collins är ju ett stort namn också. Vi får se om juryn gillar honom. Och så har vi den mycket omtalade Billie Eilish, bara 17 år.

1 Edwyn Collins (UK) The past 15 years of Edwyn Collins’ life have been dramatic to say the least. Plunged down into the depths with his health, the Scottish songwriter – together with his indefatigable partner Grace Maxwell – has battled back, regaining independence of mind, body, and music. There’s a punk-ish energy, and impish defiance at work on ‘Badbea’. Named after a nearby village built – and then abandoned – by crofters, its cover photograph shows the maestro at home in his studio, taken by one-time Buzzcocks drummer John Maher. In an album which gleefully mixes and matches textures drawn from Northern soul (In The Morning), Not that it’s all clover. Despite its wholly convincing and upful Northern groove, In The Morning sounds a note of caution (“In the morning, I don’t know, in the evening, I don’t know…”)   Clash Music/The Record Collector

2 Pickwick (US) is an American indie rock, garage rock, R&B band from Seattle, Washington. “Myths and rarities” is their latest album.  Wiki

3. Tame Impala (Aus) “Patience” is a yacht rock cruiser that opens with a piano riff worthy of Hall & Oates and those congas on the cover art make a big appearance. The band still seems a bit allergic to guitars for now—most of the song is driven by a rotating ensemble of rumbling bass slides and arpeggiated synths—but other well-worn Tame Impala tricks prevail. Their signature phaser effects mark the exits and entrances into verses and choruses, and the drums remain crispy (though less polished than the last go-round.) Pitchfork

4 The Coathangers (US) The punk trio played their first show at an Atlanta house party in 2006, they could barely play their instruments. What began as an excuse to get rowdy with friends quickly evolved into a self-titled debut album with lawless, skull-smashing potency. Thirteen years later, the Coathangers have developed their riotous, lo-fi early work into a more harmonious sound without losing their spiritual connection to the unprocessed simplicity and belligerence of their chaotic origin story. Sixth studio album The Devil You Know is a collection of glorious cassette-tape jams with unfussy production, tight melodies, and precise vocal harmonies. 5 Billie Ellish (US) har redan över en miljard strömmar på Spotify. Det kommer bli fler. Den diaboliska svartsynen på 17-åringens debut-album är precis vad världen förtjänar. Det finns alltid undantag. På många sätt är Billie Eilish den absoluta motsatsen till Ariana Grande. Eilish arbetar än så länge i mindre skala. 17-åringen från Los Angeles skriver musiken tillsammans med sin storebror Finneas och spelar in den i hans provisoriska hemmastudio i bostadsområdet Highland Park där hon växte upp.I en intervju i brittiska musikmagasinet NME fnyser hon åt tanken att arbeta i en stor och påkostad musikstudio där en massa gamla proffs ska lägga sig i:

”Jag vill inte skicka min musik till folk. Jag vill inte spela upp grejer för andra. Jag bryr mig inte om deras åsikter.” Debutskivan ”When we all fall asleep, where do we go?” är bland annat inspirerad av mardrömmar och sömnparalys. Aftonbladet

6 Gold Connections (US) After the success of their first album ‘Popular Fiction’, Gold Connections are back with their brand new single ‘Like A Shadow’. Full of brooding drum beats and crackling guitar tones, this latest single is a sound of an indie-rock band in focus. 7 R. Stevie Moore (US)  is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter who pioneered lo-fi/DIY music. Often called the "godfather of home recording",^[1] he is one of the most recognized artists of the cassette underground, and his influence is particularly felt in the bedroom and hypnagogic pop artists of the post-millennium. Since 1968, he has self-released approximately 400 albums,^[ It’s easy to lose count of how many albums the indefatigable R.Stevie Moore has released so it should be enough to say “here’s his latest aural masterpiece”, Afterlife. And it’s very easy to say he’s delivered another winner. “Here Comes Summer Again” is another ode/nod to the Brian Wilson-style; exquisite keyboards, stellar harmonies in the background and the chorus is right out of the Beach Boys manual of how it’s done (and listen to the middle, especially). 8 The Comet Is Coming (UK) is a London-based band who incorporate elements of jazz, electronica, funk and psychedelic rock. ''The name of the group comes from a BBC Radiophonic Workshop piece of the same name. Once we heard this piece, with its allusions to sci-fi, cosmic remembrances and general space, it instantly struck a chord. We're exploring new sound worlds and aiming to destroy all musical ideals which are unfit for our purposes so the name stuck. Wikipedia

9 The Proper Ornaments (UK)  vann faktiskt Poplistan 2013 med den fina poppärlan Waiting for the Summer och jag fick också möjlighet att göra en intervju med londongrabbarna via e-post. Det nya albumet The Six Lenins släpps i början av april.

10 La Dispute (US) is an American post-hardcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan, formed in 2004. Jordan Dreyer, the band's lead singer, has commented on the use of tags to describe the band's style, saying: "In general, I think boxing art into categories only serves as a way to exclude people from exploring different variations of the same thing. I think the only real definition between artists exists in their intentions for creating art ..."^[5] But despite this La Dispute is described as playing jazz, blues and spoken word influenced^[57][58] post-hardcore^{[2][40][59][60]} which incorporates elements which range through screamo,^[59][60][61] progressive rock,^[58][59][60] post-rock^[62] and hardcore punk.
