1. Circa Waves (UK)
You might know Liverpool band Circa Waves as the indie scamps behind the infectious 2015 album ‘Young Chasers’, which featured the buoyant track ‘T-Shirt Weather’. Well, they’re back, and they are scamps no more. New single ‘Wake Up’ is revealed today, and an album, ‘Different Creatures’, due March 10, is full of bruising riffs and dark lyrics. NME
2. The Sneaky Nixons (UK)
Like fellow slightly off-the-wall scousers, The Coral and The Last Gambados, The Sneaky Nixons' sound is cheeky, punky and pleasingly rough around the edges. That said, their production quality, like the acts mentioned above, is of the highest standard. Digital Journal

3. Fufanu (ICE)   BILD NEDAN
Revolving around the core duo of Hrafnkell Flóki Kaktus Einarsson and Guðlaugur Halldór Einarsson (no relation; Icelandic names use patronymics), Fufanu has grown from an experimental techno duo (then known as Captain Fufanu, when Kaktus and Gulli were just teens) into purveyors of terse, claustrophobic post-punk, injected with bleary-eyed psychedelia and dystopian electronic textures. (Live, the band expands their sound into a raging, swaggering storm, though they’ve opted to reign it in on record thus far.) There is also a surprising amount of Britpop lurking in their DNA. Kaktus worked on
Damon Albarn’s 2014 solo release Everyday Robots; Fufanu opened for the Britpop star later that year, and for Blur at Hyde Park in 2015. Though the band understandably chafes at the focus on their connection to Albarn, there’s no denying how their echoes of late-’90s Britpop enriches their music.

4. The Modern Times (NO)
Tromsø-bandet The Modern Times kan sine referanser. 5. Dope Lemon (AUS)
Dope Lemon is a performance pseudonym of Australian singer/songwriter Angus Stone, known to international audiences as half of the sibling indie pop duo Angus & Julia Stone. He also released material as part of Lady of the Sunshine and under his own name. Featuring a more electric, '90s slacker rock sound than prior projects, Dope Lemon's first album grew out of writing at home on his farm and jamming with friends in his recording studio on the property. Prior collaborators Rohin Brown (the Walking Who) and Elliott Hammond (the Delta Riggs) are among those to appear on the finished debut, Honey Bones, which arrived on Universal in the spring of 2016. iTunes

6. She Drew The Gun (UK) (Bild nedan)
She Drew The Gun emerges in the form of Merseyside girl Louisa Roach and band. Louisa has been honing her craft for several years as a singer/songwriter has now come full circle with a band and released an exceptional debut album Memories Of The Future on the Coral’s frontman James Skelly’s record label Skeleton Key.
Bathed in sultry vocals and stripped back production, this is an immersive and compelling experience. Imagine a picnic under the stars with Portishead and Laura Marling and you have a good idea of where Roach is leading the listener. Popped Music

7. Rhinosaurus (NO)

8. The Vryll Society (UK)
The Vryll Society continue to mesmerise and enthral with their wonderful groove-laden sound. Having built up a strong fanbase following the release of their debut single Deep Blue skies and last EP “Pangea”, they recently released double A side “Self Realization and La Jetee” to brilliant reviews. A UK tour, with Blossoms followed by their own headline tour last month earned glowing reviews and heralds some eagerly anticipated festival appearances this summer including Glastonbury BBC introducing stage on 24th June. Their latest offerings take the audience further into their world of liquid jams and wonderfully crafted songwriting. Deltasonic Records

9. Shame (UK)
Shame, five 19-year-old’s building their reputation as one of the best new live bands in London, are already cemented following tours with The Garden and Fat White Family and shows with The Fall, King Gizzard before heading off to Pitchfork Paris – not bad considering they hadn’t even released a single. ‘The Lick/ Gold Hole’, then, is their much anticipated official debut, a clattering one-two knockout of a double A-Side bursting at the seams with punk energy, but with the patter of the Streets, the spittle of Mark E. Smith. Far Out Magazine

10. Cabbage (UK)
Cabbage have been described as “Manchester’s most exciting new band”, a phrase still guaranteed to tantalise, even if you happen to believe the last musical aggregate of note the city produced was a quarter-century ago. It wouldn’t be hard, on the 40th anniversary of the Sex Pistols laying siege at the Lesser Free Trade Hall, to argue that Manchester has produced more great music than anywhere else in Britain these last four decades. So the idea that Cabbage – from Mossley, an insignificant dead zone eight miles east of Manchester – might be the next in line after Buzzcocks, Magazine, the Fall, Joy Division, New Order, A Certain Ratio, the Smiths, Happy Mondays, 808 State and A Guy Called Gerald makes them at least worthy of investigation. The Guardian

  1. Tack för din lista, Ådne! Många spännande låtar och artister.

    1. Circa Waves 3p Helt OK snger-songwriter

    2. The Sneaky Nixons 3p Samma här. Helt OK, men griper inte riktigt idag. Ibland låter det som ”Love is the drug” med Roxy Music.

    3. Fufanu 3p Väldigt mycket brit-pop av dessa isländare. En stark trea. Lovande gäng.

    4. The Modern Times 5p Gillar dessa norrmän.

    9. Shame 4p Visst ser man Mark E Smiths inverkan. Kul.

    10. Cabbage 4p Gillar Cabbage.
