Inte helt överraskande vann det norska bidraget American Suitcase med "Polar Nights". Influenserna från ett band i Glasgow är tydliga, men det gör inte saken sämre. Tvåa kom East India Youth med "Heaven, How Long". Det gläder inte minst mig, som tycker att
detta är en riktig klasslåt. Trea och också vidare till delfinal gick Stanley Brinks & The Wave Pictures med den finurliga "Maybe I Will See You Again".
