Poplistans intervju med Sverigeaktuelle Jonathan Wilson

 

Mitt nyårslöfte för Poplistan var att göra intervjuer och sedan publicera dem på
denna blogg. Jag rivstartade med en segerintervju till The Amazing, som ju vann
Poplistan 2011. Nu kommer nästa intervju... nåja, en fråga i alla fall... till
Jonathan Wilson, trea på Poplistans final 2011 med "Desert Raven". Han är ju
på Europaturné och besöker Göteborg onsdag nästa vecka den 13 juni.

Can you describe how this song was made and your feelings about it?

Jonathan Wilson:  Hello!

I'm very excited to come to Goteborg, look forward to it-

Desert Raven is a tune about the Mojave Desert, the feeling, sounds and stillness there.

I went camping one night in Joshua Tree National Park, and the lyrics are literally

the visions I had that very night. I drove home and came up with the guitar line

in a matter of days, recorded it in a short time all alone, and that was it!

The Best tunes always do that, they just appear , move ahead quickly and voila' it's done!
